ATVOD announces seminar for small businesses

ATVOD ANNOUNCES SEMINAR FOR SMALL BUSINESSES 

Free seminar on VOD regulation and what it means for small businesses

 

As part of its process of engagement with those who are providing, or thinking of providing, a video on demand service, the video on demand regulator ATVOD is holding a free seminar specifically for small businesses.

 

The seminar, titled “What you need to know about video on demand regulations” will combine presentations from senior ATVOD staff with Q&A sessions and will cover a range of topics including:

 

          -  Does my service fall within the scope of the regulations?

          -  What are the rules that apply to regulated services?

          -  How can I stay on the right side of the rules?

 

Places are limited and will be provided on a 'first come first serve' basis. The seminar is likely to be particularly relevant to:

 

           -  Small businesses operating television broadcast services who are providing, or considering providing, archive or catch-up services
           -  Small businesses providing access to catalogues of video content via the internet, satellite, cable or mobile phone networks

 

Date: Wednesday 16th October 11am – 1pm

 

Venue: St James Theatre, 12 Palace St, London SW1E 5JA
